Medical Mall and others give a helping hand to Officer Dewayne Collier and his family
The Jackson Medical Mall Foundation is proud to announce that $3,934.00 was raised during the “Officer Dewayne Collier Benefit Basketball Tournament” held on September 27, 2008 at Jackson State University’s T.B. Ellis Gymnasium. The Jackson Medical Mall Foundation is donating an additional $2,016.00 for a grand total of $5,950.00. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Collier Family. Other large donors include Sugar’s Place Restaurant and Wingfield High School.
WJMI 99.7 along with the City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Department helped sponsor the event. The Foundation would like to say “Congratulations” to the Edwards Bulldogs and the Mississippi Ballers for winning the 17 and under & the 18 and older division championship games, respectively.
The Jackson Medical Mall Foundation and the event sponsors would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the community for supporting the fundraiser effort.
