Medical Mall’s newest tenant takes PRIYDE in the community

The saying goes, “Little things come in small packages.”  That definitely holds true for one of the newest tenants of the Jackson Medical Mall Thad Cochran Center.  It’s commonly known as PRIYDE, a short acronym for a long title.  The Perico Institute for Youth Development and Entrepreneurship works to develop and prepare young people to be more financial savvy so they can maximize their service capabilities.

The organization works with middle and high school students and in faith-based groups.  It teaches financial literacy, developing their knowledge in certain apprenticeship skills, entrepreneurship, and advocacy necessary for success in the work place and the market place.

It is also making sure families don’t go without food for the holidays by offering food boxes with dairy products, vegetables, meats, along with boxed and canned food items for as low as $28.   It’s a part of their “Bread of Life” food ministry mission with Angelfood Ministries.   Everyone qualifies for the meal deals.  You can get $60 worth of quality food for half the cost, or give a gift of food to a neighbor, family member, friend, senior, or someone in need.  Businesses, consider a Christmas bonus food box for your employees.  Cash, money orders, and EBT are accepted. Get the food you need to make it through tough economic times and all year long.  Menus change each month.  Give PRIYDE  a call at (769) 251-1408 for more information, to place an order, or to get a copy of this month’s menu.

Happy Anniversary

Operations Manager Dionne Bibb says other tenants should model Shear Talent.  “Hats off to Shear Talent for the tenure they have provided within the community.  We hope that all tenants continue to serve our patrons, staff, employees, and guests with quality services.  The Jackson Medical Mall Foundation sends their congratulations to Mr. Starling and his staff,” says Bibb.
